My own definition of Normal

I suppose this is my first real post and i'm still not convinced anyone will be at all interested in what I think! But then again its a place for me to say my feelings and perhaps for people to read it so here goes....

A Normal Family... a sentance that cungers up thoughs of the perfect family, husband & wife, 2 (0r 3!)perfect children, a lovely new house, good grades at school and so on... I had this (well nearly, a husband and 1 child) and then we planned the next, having already had a little girl, we where now expecting our little boy, how lovely, how normal, the perfect family. Then BANG! Daniel was born and within 7 weeks he was diagnosed with a very rare liver disease "Biliary Atresia". Suddenly my whole world was turned upside down and our "normal" would never exsist again.
A doctor once said to me, well "what exactly is normal?, whats normal to one person isn't normal to another" This is so true and now i find myself creating a new "normal", it does exist but not as it did before, living with this disease day in, day out and you realise that this is how life is and you smile and get on with what has become your new "normal" Life.
