Local Clinic Visit....

Well yesterday Daniel went for his Local GI Clinic Visit at our Children's hospital. It wasnt his usual GI they have shipped a GI Doc in from Germany - Dr Auth (said "owth") aparently he is a doctor in a specialist Tranplant clinic in Germany. He was very interesed in Daniel because he "looked so normal not like a child with Liver Disease" I suppose this was ment as a compliment! I think he learned more from me and Daniel than we learnt today! I dont mind helping out though answering all his questions if it helps others?
Anyway onto Daniel, he is doing GREAT! They say he still has the signs of portal hypertension and have said that for the last year or so, His spleen appeared smaller but that it was palpable about 4cm, it was 12cm on the ultrasound last year and he is due another one in Dec. Probably that will be more accurate although doc did say they can shrink . Overall he was happy with him and wants to see him in 6 months time, he had bloods done but wont get them till next week, will update then.
