update needed!

So sorry to those who check my blog i havent been very true to my word.....forgetting to update, although i do put "mini" ones on fb!
Daniel started wound 3 chemo this week, good news is, we where told he is having 4 rounds and not 6 so in effect he only has 1 more after this.....Between round 2 and 3 daniel was initially unwell with a myserious infection that had him spiking temps every 3 or 4 hours and it was very scary....at one point they where worried it might be a fungal infection of the liver or spleen which is doubly terrifying as Daniel already has the added complication of a poorly liver....this however was not the case and it ended up being an infection in his central line, which ment alot of drugs and constant diahorrea for about 2 weeks, after they got the infection under control he had his 2nd lumbar punchure and another bone marrow biopsy....this ended up alot less stressful than last time as he didnt end up with the horric headaches he experienced once.
This round is different than the last and from the next, this time he is connected to a pump for 24 hours a day for 5 day (this is day 2) and aside from the obvious effects (sickness, diahorrea, not eating and nausea to name a few) he is coping well - a true fighter! Today he is hypo, they give his chemo drugs alongside glucose so i think he is literally buzzing from the sugar!!
We got home for 10 days after his infection subsided and it was lovely to be at home and experience some "normal" things, a simple trip to the shops for some trainers, our tea out at pizza hut and a lovely sunday afternoon with our friends to name but a few.... Our lives pre-leukemia where not that of a multi millionaire, simple things enjoyed by us, simple people...and that is what i most look forward too after Daniel finishes his chemo, that sense of normaility that we havent had since well before October of 2009!
Thinking of those we have loved and lost (love you Dad) xxx

i hope normality is with you all soon liz, the sad thing about illness is that it affects so many people with its ripple effect, i admire the way you have all coped with all its worries and stresses.
so hurry up normality liz and her family are waiting for you. claire xxxx
