The Start of 2009
Well, its been a while again since my last update and to be honest part of the reason for this is, if their is nothing significant happening at the time i "leave it" perhaps until it does or perhaps in the hope nothing eventful will actually happen.
I write today with a very heavy heart, its Mothers day today and i for one, have had a nice day being spoiled by my wonderful husband and beautiful 3 children....we have been out for lunch, saw my mum and recieved gifts and cards from the kids but i learned today that Jade Goody died, she was 27 years old and leaved behind 2 young children, i didnt know her personally but her life was very well documented and in my opinion (and its is only MY opinion) she is to be commended on how she raised both awarness of the disease and money she earned whilst doing it which will go towards the future for her boys. I empathise with her because she was a young mum with young children and its for that reason i am sad.
6 years ago on Wednesday (25th March) my dad passed away, this time of year is always hard, someone commented to me the other day "you dont mention your dad much", maybe i dont, but not a day goes by that i dont think of him, his silly sense of humour, how he used to joke alot and pull stupid faces or how he would "lend" me a tenner on a Friday night when i was a teenager to make myself dissapear for the evening!! I loved my dad very much and as i gave birth to my two boys he was the first face i "saw", the first words i "heard" and he will always be with me, they say times a healer - my wound is still very much open.
On a much lighter note - we are all doing good, Lewis is now nearly 6 months and its his christening on Sunday! He is sitting up and talking, Da-Da was his first word and now he says "mum-mum" and "eeee-ya" he is one precious boy and is very smiley and happy.....Daniel is doing great! At his appointment he had gained both weight and height and they said (after blood tests) his synthetic liver function was normal, so nothing drastically changed their - they only want to see us in a Year!! which is both FAB and scary all at the same time.....Olivia got her place in secondary school at Maghull high which is again FAB and she is so pleased, i truely cant believe my little girl will be 11 this year and going to high school, time does fly.
As for Michael and I, we are ok, very strong, we have endured as a couple things that most people wont endure in a lifetime and for that we are closer and closer, he is my rock as i am his.
Thats all i wanted to say today so this is for you Dad (and Jade) may you both rest in peace xxx
