Bad weekend (and a bit of nice news)
(Apologies to those who may of read the beginning over at LF)
It all started with Daniel having some diahorea last week , well he had some tummy cramps and we sent a sample off to the lab.....by friday he seemed ALOT better and wanted to go to nursery, so off he went. The arrangement was for Michael to take him to Scotland to his parents after nursery as i was going away to London with my mum and sis for the weekend. On Saturday morning i get a phone call to say Daniel had tummy cramps and seemed ill,Michael just "rode with it" and gave him some pain meds and something to eat after which he seemed better. Later on that day he called me saying he had taken Daniel to A & E as the pains got very frequent and bad so much so he was rolling around on the floor in pain....as you can imagine I was in total shock and began to panic, i had to get up to scotland from London tonight! So fortunatly we where saying right next to the airport and the manager of the hotel got me a flight that left literally 40 mins after booking, inbetween frantic phonecalls between St James (our transplant hospital) and the hospital in Scotland, and with a temp reaching 39! We managed to establish it didnt appear to be an infection.....tests and more proding and poking.....i got their just over 2 hours later and Daniel was tucked up in bed in MIL house! He seemed fine and the hospital thought it was "constipation" I dont think so after all the poo last week.
So, last night he wakes at 11pm crying in pain with a tummy ache and after 5 or so mins it drifts off and he goes back asleep. I took him to our doctor and rung leeds today and they all agree it seems to be a bad case of Gastroenteritis that is taking a bit to shift.....but slowly should go Anyway i feel so exhausted, both physically and emotionally a rollercoaster.
On a much happier note Michael has gotten himself a new job, its only 5 mins from home and the hours mean he can help with the kids in the morning and get an early dart on a friday! The only draw back being its a temporary position for 9 months but hey its better than NO JOB!!
Olivia had her parents evening last week and they said "you should be very proud" she has done very well this year and reached all her goals and targets, sitting here thinking about it she has never really been a "problem" to me, i guess im lucky to have 2 great lovely kids!
