Sorry for the long break!
Ok, so i have a few bits of things to update, but have been told by several people that i havent updated in a while - this means 1 of 2 things, either a) we are all doing fine, happy and healthy or b) there is something wrong and i cant manage to update! Thankfully on this occasion its option a!
Daniel update and Bloods;
On Monday we attended Daniels 6 monthly appointment at St James, Leeds. He did really well, now measure 99cm and is 36lbs (or 2 stone 8lbs). The doctor was so pleased he was growing and doing well - they measured his spleen which is approx 8-10cm and similar or slightly bigger than the size it was last year which is wonderful considering he is growing fast! There are no obvious signs of Varicies although the doctor did say that we may not know they are there till they bleed :-( which i know from friends is a very terrifying experience.....(trying not to dwell on the bad here) the appointment overall was EXCELLENT and we are so pleased with both Daniel and the care he receives. I am diversifying here - but we can NEVER complain about the care Daniel has had in both Leeds and Alderhey - they are all wonderful, a dedicated team and nothing is ever too much trouble in our experience for them.
Now onto the bloods which we got back yesterday - the BEST EVER!! (and for those of us "techincal" people here they are;
Bili - 10
Albumin - 38
ALT - 27
Alk Phos - 673 (had previously been 1500)
GGT - 48
INR - 1.3
Platelets - 109 (a little low)
HB - 10.1
These are brilliant - the best results and closest to normal he has ever had!
Me;
Pregnancy is going ok, i am now 22 weeks and have had my scan - ITS A BOY!! To be honest i always had the "feeling" it was a boy and would of been suprised had they said it was a girl, so me and Michael left the kids last Sat. for a day out shoppping in "the Trafford Centre", Manchester and had a lovely day - bought some stuff for all 3 kids! (that sound weird saying 3 kids!!!) includinga "woody" doll (toy story) for Daniel and a Game for Olivia, talk about feeling guilty for buying the new baby stuff! Anyway, we are yet to decide on a theme for the nursery but will be attempting the decided in the next few weeks.
My next appointment is with the midwife in a few weeks....and i will get to hear his heartbeat again (always reasurring....) mind you, with all the kicks and pressure im feeling at the moment he sure is an active babe!
So, no news is good news as they say and the best is that St James said we dont have to go back to see them till FEB! (9 months) we will been seen in Liverpool before then.
Daniel starts full time school in september which means by the time we go to Leeds he will be a fully fledged "school boy" - scary!
Thanks for checking in on all of us...I have been taking more photos recently and will post them on here soon, promise not to leave it so long until my next update!

Oops, thought I'd commented on this post before, am obviously going a bit senile! Excellent news on the bloods - they look brilliant - and good to have Daniel's team happy to have him take such a long 'hospital holiday' xxx
