Bloods & stuff!

Well I just remembered I didnt post Daniels bloods yet, Dr rand us on the Wednesday following Daniels clinic visit on Monday and said his bloods where "good, good, good!" His Bili was 10 (lowest yet!) Albumin - 43 and ALT - 45 his ALK was still MEGA high but this is as exlained in previous post and Leeds said they dont really go from ALK Phos. anyway.
Daniel is so funny these days and Cheeky & Mischevious too, he keeps turning the TV off now he has found how to do it using the control and his favourite toys are his tools or "oools" as he says. He follows his dad everywhere with them and helps "fix" everything. He is now starting to string 2 or 3 words together and make his own mini sentences. He loves playing with Olivia and I love to see them together laughing so loudly - that makes me smile!!
We all go on holiday in just under 2 weeks time and we all can't wait, we are going to "France" to a "Eurocamp" and it has 3 swimming pools and slides and a beach nearby and Olivia is really excited ( as are Michael & I) We need this break, the last twelve months we have found living/dealing with Daniels illness a little easier but hey we all need a holiday!
Daniel has a place in "Littlebuds" its in Olivia's school (a private one but on school grounds) so he will be going 2 days on a Thursday/Friday while I work, I feel a little nervous as Daniel has only recently settled in his nursery now and he's moving in September however this will be so much better for me though, being able to drop both kids off together and pick them up at 3.30pm. Anyway its a few months off yet more nearer the time.
Thats about all with me at the moment!

A Quick Update - Clinic Visit

Hi all

Been to "Leeds" today to see our GI team. All is ok as far as we can tell, Daniel had bloods so thats why this is just a quickie will post when the blood results are in. The doctor in Leeds is quite pleased with Daniel, his last bloods (6 weeks ago - re:itching) where good. I did ask about Daniels ALK Phos. being high and doc said "it can be any of 3 things", but Daniels will be mainly because his internal bile ducts inside the liver are inflamed and therefore causing scaring of the Liver (which we already knew) and also because he is growing. Aparently its common in kids of this age with BA it naturally rises when the bones are growing. (which Daniels are, because he has grown 5cm since Jan) So 2 things that we already knew and he didnt seem overly concerned. The main indicaters for them are his Albumin level (which is 40 - normal) and his Bilirubin (yes THAT word again) and its 12, again normal. So he could see by his bloods he is doing OK. Our next appointment is in 6 months, lets all hope & pray things continue on this path and our Lion doesnt roar...
