Far to long to wait...
As the titles suggests there is no way i could possibly ALL that has happened in the last few months, nor will i even attempt to do so or apologise for. Lets just put it this way - i have literally had NO TIME to update!
So here, in brief is my life how it currently stands;
Lewis Michael Beamish - Born on 28.09.08 and weighing in at 9lbs 3oz, he was born "naturally" (that is with the help of gas & air/pethedine!) and the whole birth process was rather uneventful - apart from having to be Induced (again.....sigh) my babies seem to enjoy being inside mummys tummy as oposed to entering the world.....he came in after a 13 hour labour but only 3 pushes! and was rather purple.....now 12 weeks on he is well over 13lbs and doing great!
This was to be my "healthy" baby, uneventful pregnancy and birth, and smooth quick recovery....hmmmmm how wrong can a girl be.
Redundancy - Just days before our new arrival was due, Michael unknowinly entered his office as usual and after holding a meeting with bosses was told his position was "under review" and redundancy may have to be an option?! NO! Not with only days to baby no. 3, having sold both cars to not only reduce our carbon foot print but to save precious pennies in this ever so changing climate, to buy a pension plan etc etc...NO! Well yes within days it became apparent to Michael and I, things would have to change and his job was fastly becoming more unsecure - you guessed it (or already knew) on Nov 30th Michael finished at "Manesty" for good. Fortunately the skills of my husband are such that he had a new job to start On dec 1st and was actually approached by someone who wanted HIM! Great....hope this one lasts...
Pancreatitus - Hmmm...where to start, basically and obviously to those medical folk, the "high LFTS" i had during pregnancy where not due to obsteric cholostatis (as they previously thought!) but due to the gallstones i had.....only finding this out after several days of pain and i mean PAIN - like i could never describe....i ended up "critical" and on morphine in the hospital when Lewis was barely 3 weeks old, the hardest part (believe it or not) was being away from my children - they where not allowed in as i was on a surgical ward with lots of infections....and i seriously thought i may well die - that being the most horrible thing i had to imagine - leaving both my children and my husband and imagining how life would carry on without me around...so not to dwell on that - i did get over it and for the next 6 or so weeks didnt have 1 attack - watching my diet seemed to be working and when i attended an appointment where the surgeon told me i would need to come in for surgery...i did, for a minute, think "why"? ive managed ok for the last few weeks - then BANG sunday night and i had eaten my sunday lunch and i had an attack, needed morphine again and GOD was it pain - now it was time to admit it, i had to have the operation...Dec 11th
Loosing it! - Getting my gallbladder removed really wasnt what frightened me, dying on the table - ok maybe a little, but the main thing, was the unknown, this surgery is routine and is usually done via keyhole, which makes the whole process easier, recovery is quicker, the wounds takes less time to heal, BUT and here it comes there is no way of knowing wether you will need the keyhole or the "open surgery" until you are "under the knife". So, here i am 3 days later and the first thing i asked after surgery was "keyhole or cut?", "keyhole" came the smiley lady sitting by my bed in recovery...thank you god, he was truly looking down on me.
Future plans - Well, those of you who know me, know i dont really "plan" for the future, im a take every day as it comes kinda gal, i handle each situation as it arrises and cross each bridge as it needs to be crossed. Daniel and Olivia are both well, Daniel has an appointment coming up in Feb. where as he has grown (all his pants are far to short!), and he is full of energy i will assume he is still "stable"....Olivia is heading to high school next year (scary stuff...) amd michael with his new job, lets just say i hope 2009 has good things in store, but im sure whatever life throws at us we will handle it together as a family, as we always do.
"Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy new Year" to you all.
